When it rains – it pours over here! One of my sons was stricken with illness this weekend and spent all day today in hospital, I finally brought him home only to turn around with another son who needed to go *back* to the hospital for stitches! I am going to have to take my oldest son (the ill one) back for testing at the hospital tomorrow, however I want to get the next part of the tutorial up to allow everyone to continue on! So if you will forgive me that it is not the sprig in the photos, here is part 6!
Next you will want to draw your eyes onto the doll using your marking pen. Try to make them even. You can draw them round, oval, moon shaped, however you feel looks right!
Beginning at the top of the head, come down through the head and out the bottom of the eye circle.
Go through the top of the eye circle and back up to the top of the head.
Tie off the strings.
Start again, going down through the head and out the side of the eye circle.
Now its time to do the mouth!
Mark where you want the corners of your mouth. I use pins, but you can use your marking pens too.
Cut a 8″ length of mouth coloured embroidery floss. I like to use a pink, peach or red. Then thread the entire strand (all 6 threads) of mouth floss onto the large needle.
Go through the front of one side of the mouth to the top of the head. Unthread your needle.
Rethread your needle and go through the front of the other side of the mouth and to the top of the head.
Pull tight and tie off the mouth threads!
